How therapy can help

The benefits of therapy will allow you to gain a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This will empower you to explore new ways of thinking as you face life challenges in the future

Counselling

Person-centred Counselling focuses on self-development and personal growth. The counsellor provides a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This can create a better understanding of yourself to make effective changes in your life

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy is a future-oriented, goal-directed approach. It places focus on a person’s present and future circumstances and goals rather than past experiences. In this goal-oriented therapy, it promotes positive change rather than dwelling on the past. The counsellor will encourage you to focus positively on what you do well, set goals and work out how to achieve them

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy(CBT)

Cognitive therapy helps you change the way you think and what you do. The way we think about situations affects the way we feel and behave. If we view a situation negatively, we may experience negative emotions and feelings which lead us to behave in an unhelpful way. Your therapist will help you identify and challenge any negative thinking so you can deal with situations better and behave in a more positive way. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can be helpful for depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, obsessions, fears and addictions

Integrative Counselling

Integrative Counselling looks at the whole person, taking into account your mental, physical and emotional needs. Your therapist will use techniques and tools from different modalities to tailor an individual approach for you. An integrative counsellor aims to build a trusting and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship that helps you develop self-awareness. When you understand the causes of your concerns or triggers for your behaviour, you can confidently set goals and develop new behaviours to improve your life
